God sure has a way to show us that HE is indeed with us. That HE knows what we are thinking and wishing for. A few days ago, I was putting away my 2010 diary and in the box where I kept all my past journals and diaries, I came across a few hand written papers. Picking them up and reading what was on the papers, I just laughed to myself. It was the SMSes that an ex send to me years back before I got married. I wonder why I wrote them down...Reading the messages, it bought back so many wonderful memories. The SMSes were send after we met during his sister's wedding and few months before my own wedding. Throughout this relationship, we never had a fight or argument. It was beautiful to the end. That is why we kept in touch occassionally via SMSes ( Like all my other boyfriends, he is not a Singaporean) After placing the papers back into the box, I think little of him until that same afternoon when I was in the car with my girl, I received a PHONE CALL from him! I have not hear from him for 2 years after losing his phone number.
Of course I was shocked to hear his name and we spoke for awhile (with my little one listening to the entire conversation). I told him I will look him up if I visit his country and he promised to look for me if he makes his way to Singapore.
My little girl saw the smile on my face after the phone call and I told her " God sure has a way to Cheer us up. HE is watching us and HE knows what we are thinking."
Thank you God for giving me one of the best Christmas gift this year with this unexpected phone call from a long time friend.

New Beginnings for Little Princess
My little princess will join the Primary 1 cohort in 5 days, a milestone in a kid's life that usually gives parents the jitters. But not me! While little one is so excited about her first day at school, I am wondering what can I do with the extra hours that I will be gaining with her in school.
Most of my friends’ children are already in Primary schools and I have been told what to expect. I know my girl will adapt in her new environment. She is very sociable and independent even as a preschooler. She is just like her dad who makes friends so easily.
Books have been labelled with nicely printed name tags and wrapped in their respective covers. Uniforms altered. The first white canvas Bata shoes. Snoppy pencil case stocked with 8 new sharpened pencils. (waiting to see how many pencils she come home with after a week) All she needs now is a hair cut.
Mummy wishes you all the best as you embark on your formal education journey. You will have lots of fun and I know you will make me a happy mummy even as you shred the baby cuteness in you.

Dedicated to the Someone Special
One of my favourite song lately.....
A Thousand Years - Christina Perri
Heart beats fast
Colors and promises
How to be brave
How can I love when I'm afraid
To fall
But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt
Suddenly goes away somehow
One step closer
I have died everyday
waiting for you
Darlin' don't be afraid
I have loved you for a
Thousand years
I'll love you for a
Thousand more
Time stands still
Beauty I know she is
I will be brave
I will not let anything
Take away
What's standing in front of me
Every breath,
Every hour has come to this
One step closer
I have died everyday
Waiting for you
Darlin' don't be afraid
I have loved you for a
Thousand years
I'll love you for a
Thousand more
And all along I believed
I would find you
Time has brought
Your heart to me
I have loved you for a
Thousand years
I'll love you for a
Thousand more
One step closer
One step closer
I have died everyday
Waiting for you
Darlin' don't be afraid,
I have loved you for a

In spite of all the pain, organ failures, and morphine shots, Katie is going along with her wedding and took care
of every detail. The dress had to be adjusted a few times due to her constant weight loss

An unusual accessory at the party was the oxygen tube that ketie used throughout the ceremony and reception as well.
The other couple in the picture are Nick's parents. Excited to see her son marrying his high school sweetheart.

Katie, in her wheelchair with the oxygen tube , listening a song from her husband and friends
At the reception, katie had to take a few rests. The pain do not let her to be standing up for long periods
Katie died five days after her wedding day. Watching a women so ill and weak getting married and with a smile on her face makes us think..... Happiness is reachable, no matter how long it last. We should stop making our lives complicated.
Life is short
Break the rules
forgive quickly, love truly
laugh constantly
And never stop smiling
no matter how strange life is
Life is not always the party we expected to be
but as long as we are here, we should smile and be grateful.

Live every day as if it it my last
" Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away."- Hilary Cooper
All of us will die one day. Nobody can escape this. For me, I look forward to that day knowing that there is my love waiting for me where we will be reunited once more in God's kingdom. With this knowledge, we cannot keep planning to do great things and planning to take action only when we feel like it- we have a time limit here on earth. So live everyday like it is the last day of your life. Take action now and live with no fear, no regrets.

Letting Go
I have let go. I feel lighter and at peace now. When you truly love, you care for his happiness and his well being. To love Is not to have. To love is to have him in your heart forever. Praying that he is well and smiling always is loving unconditionally even when he is not with you.
To feel blessed to have been loved once. To be thankful for the brief union. To be contented to have been the love in his life once. To know that we shared once.
Let him go. If it meant to be, God will lead us back to one another.

From a Dear Friend to Another
Whenever I read news about the sudden death of a celebrity, memories of how my love left me will resurfaced. Today I read that the singer actor of Chang and Eng passed away over the weekend. He was only 37 and I was looking forward to catching him in the year end Christmas show.
As I write this entry from Hawaii, I delicate it to a very dear friend of mine who is currently living in a life of fears and maybe a little regrets.
My friend, Live for today and be happy. Life is too short for regrets and unhappiness. Or fearful.
I came across a wonderful and insightful poem in a book over here titled "There's a hole in my sidewalk" which goes like this:
Chapter 1
I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost... I am helpless.
It isn't my fault.
It takes me forever to find a way out.
Chapter 2
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don't see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I am in the same place.
But, It isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.
Chapter 3
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in...it's a habit.
My eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.
Chapter 4
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.
Chapter 5
I walk down another street
