Make Every Day Count

Our days are numbered. No matter how hard we try to prolong our time on earth, the reality is that we are mere mortals and will not live forever.

Occassionally, I will think about what it would be like to relive the past. To press the reset button and start afresh. However, I figured that doing so is a waste of time and that it is forcing me to live in regrets. Hence, I choose to make the most of my time while I am here in the living present.

I seek to be explorers on a mission of discovery instead of a passenger on a journey through time. I choose to embrace life as an active individual treating each day as opportunity. I choose to make every day count by engaging myself in what life has to offer. To make a deliberate attempt on how I want to spend my time instead of sitting on the sidelines and watching life passing me by with regrets.

Making every day count is something that all of us can do. However, it requires more that just well intended rhetoric for it to become a reality. It takes effort, dedication, a thirst for adventure, and the resolve to get actively involved in life as opposed to watching it pass us by.

We have only one life to live, so start living it. Strive to make the most of each day. Live with unbridled passion and enthusiasm. Find ways to make each day more memorable and worthwhile.

I am going to make every day count so that I will get the most out of what life has to offer.

May God Bless Me.

DO IT NOW!

This morning, when my little girl's room looked like a typhoon just made its landing, I looked at my 6 years old and this is what I tell her. "It is the devil on your shoulder that made you leave the towels on the floor instead of hanging them up after a bath. It is the devil who made you throw your clothes on the floor instead of folding them up and putting them where they should be. Whenever you are tempted to do things you know were lazy, uncaring or wasteful, it is the devil creating the temptation. And we do not want this devil to take control of our life."  She seems to understand. (I hope)

We all have devil in our life. And if not handled properly, this devil will push us in the wrong direction and prevent us from achieving our goals.

Handle procrastination and temptation. I give you Three little words “ DO IT NOW”. Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Whenever the devil is talking to you, say to yourself “ I have tremeduous willpower.” That alone will help you to avoid tempatiton.

Always believe in yourself.

Love Unconditionally

"The ultimate lesson all of us have to learn is unconditional love, which includes not only others but ourselves as well." - Elisabeth Kubler Ross

The word Unconditional means" without limitations." Perhaps a more complete definittion of the term, though, is " without limitations and without regrets." When we love others unconditionally, we acknowledge their shortcomings and do not judge them. They may frustrate us with broken promises, disappoint us with unfulfilled tasks, test our patience, and at times drive us crazy for loving them, but we never regret loving them for who they are and are willing to embrace the heartburn that may come with that decision. This is different from conditional love, where failing to meet certain expectations or provisions in a relationship can be a major source of regret that may ultimately end the relationship.

I am blessed that in my lifetime, I was loved by many. However, there was always conditional love in all my relationships. It was only after the demise of my loved one that I know what unconditional love is. With that, I gave myself a chance to be loved once more by a great man. For the first time, there was no expectation from being with this person. All we wanted was to be happy together. I just want us to really enjoy being together for as long as possible. At the end of the day, I choose to be with him knowing that he may hurt me the most.

Though the relationship has no happy ever, there was no regret on my part. I had choose to Live life with no regrets and by accepting him and having him in my life for a brief moment was already a blessing. I think I will never love another the way I love him. He has become part of me that when we parted, a major part of me just died. The pain was unbearable and I pray that I will not have to go through this pain ever.

Limited Time - Steve Jobs

A dear friend send me this message and sadly, not everyone is able to live according to Steve Jobs saying.

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice." Steve jobs
